Sound the uterus to obtain information on the direction and depth of the uterine cavity

Introduce the inserter until you feel that the tip making contact with the fundus

Keep the inserter in contact with the fundus by pressing the plunger forward with the thumb

Now move the plunger forward gently and slowly, and feel the anchor penetrating the uterine muscle

Release the thread while keeping the inserter firmly against the fundus with the thumb

You can also cut the thread with a scalpel

Keep traction on the uterus while removing the plunger

Trim the thread with sharp scissors

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Do not pull at the tail, and 

• Abstain from intercourse or from the use of tampons for approximately 5 days
